Very nice and cozy place, conversation is possible based on a nice background music. They served a selection of Belgian beers from bottle to a few on tap. Currently one of our best spot to go our in couple. Almost always some place to seat.

My first visit in a while, on the hottest day of the year - so thank the man above that their great beer garden was in the shade at 5pm.
There's a good selection of Belgium beers, fruit beers, standard lagers and local cask brews on offer - prices aren't too bad but it's certainly not cheap, recall two pints of the vedett IPA coming close to a tenner.
It's got character and a great beer garden, and there's enough good beer to satisfy a snob like me. -

Another day another discovery of a fine Manchester institution that I really should have checked out before! You see Bar Fringe has always been on my hit list of places to go, it's just that it's a tiny bit too far from my usual walking NQ pattern (2 mins from Stevenson square) and I forget to pop up there!
It's a great little bar with something that really speaks of an old era of pubs - it's nice as well that in this part of the town it hasn't been turned into a crappy bar like the Northern was or it's not a sawdust joint where all the local rummys like to hang out in... I'm sure you know the places!
A diverse clientele of patrons of all ages and a pretty relaxed and unthreatening place to hang out. I can't really give it more than 3 stars unfortunately as I though the beer on pump selection was a bit 'old mannish' with just general bitters and some Belgian beers/lagers on - there wasn't really much for an IPA head like myself.
Overall a nice little pub to stop by for one, if I'm on Ancoats or heading to Band on the Wall again then I'll probably pop in but it's not up there in my top 5 of beery places to hang out in the city! -

A great sunny (though smallish) beer garden in the city. This place is clearly a regular for many and has the feel of a loved pub. It's small and quirky interior catches the eye and the garden is a great place to relax with their very fine choice of beers

One of the most varied selection of ales in a Manchester cc boozer . Been coming here for years and I always order (at least once) the Timmermans peach beer.
Nice cosy pub with mainly male ale drinkers. Quirky decorations and equally quirky jukebox (I put Nelly the Elephant on and then did a runner!)
If you're a serious ale drinker, this is an essential drinking hole. Crown and Kettle across the road is also a decent boozer nearby, if you're on a crawl.
Free chilli for all drinkers, on a Sunday too, which I really need to sample ASAP.
